The school is on one of the corners of Plaza Matriz
After knowing the Buenos Aires Academy, I was sure there World not be any surprise with the Uruguay Academy at first because of the place of the school: Utz, whom I already knew from Buenos Aires about his tendency for perfection, although he did not set up it in the Government house this time he improved the selection of the place so as to go on with this project.
The school is on one of the corners of Plaza Matriz (or Plaza de la Constitución), some steps away from the Old Mayor House of Montevideo, this means that from any of the balconies you can watch the 'Change of Guard Ceremony ', or you can make a little run away to any of the small bars with tables in the Plaza to have same fresh drink.
Also same small ride at Sarandi Street, Pedestrian Street of the Old Town, to give a look to the handcraft market some steps forward you will find more bars, shops of any kind, banks, etc.
The port market, where you can eat very well, is only some minute's walk, the same to the Plaza Independencia or Solis Theater, with a high level programming.
In brief the school is in the absolute downtown of the attractive and interesting Old Town, where always you can discover and explore new things, and not in the part of modern tall buildings. This makes so interesting to learn Spanish in the Academia Uruguay.

A totally modern school in an historic buliding
The building where the school is, as well as most of the buildings that surround it, are under protection as historic monument, that is why Utz and his team had to take special care when renewing and adapting the building for the functioning of the school.
The result is a totally modern school, with an access by stairs to the first floor, with antique sculptures terraced to the wall alternated with contemporary paintings.
Other characteristics are the light patios with coaches that invite to chat. The classrooms are decorated with modern furniture and all have conditioned air. At last, a lot of space for every body: students, teachers and administrative staff.
The one in charge in Uruguay is Martín, dynamic and taking charge of every and each detail that makes the good functioning (working) of the school, not only pedagogically but also in lodging and other items that the students need.

Excellent selection of the teachers team
The teachers' team is mixed and colorful, and shows an extraordinary election: Brazilians will find a teacher from Brasil, also those who talk English or German will find help. Nevertheless the slogan of the school is very motivating: ATTENTION: you are one step from leaving the sector where your native language is talked and you will discover the cultural universe of the Spanish language. From now on you will only talk Spanish. And we believe that it has to be like this, at last one has come here to learn or improve the Spanish Knowledge. And this, in our opinion is guaranteed above the excellent selection of the teachers team, the issues are full of cultural things of Uruguay, Also it is an important to say that they have their own didactic material, that was made taking into account the local place characteristics.
Anyway there is no problem to change from Buenos Aires to Montevideo or the other way round. In three or four hours you are in the other city and you can go on with your classes under the same academic quality.

An unbeatable widening for the Spanish schools scenery
For www.spanishcourses.info the opening of this school is an unbeatable widening for the Spanish schools scenery. It is a school that leads to a new, attractive, accessible place in Uruguay.
Those who, till now, did not think in Uruguay to learn Spanish because it is very complicated, because the schools are a little weak, must take into account this: Only just one month ago the ACADEMIA URUGUAY is opened.
