Studium Salamanca offers the opportunity to learn Spanish in the best kind of environment. Our facilities are modern, centrally located, and include a library, audiuvisual material and on-line computers, all available to our students.
Our method consists of practical classes based on the clearest possible explanations of grammar. Small groups: NO MORE THAN 7 STUDENTS PER GROUP.
A university town, located in the southern part of the Regional Community of Castile & Leon, not far from Madrid and close to the Portuguese border. A historical city, not only for its University, one of the oldest in Europe, but also because of other beautiful buildings, both civil (The House of Shells, the Main Square, palaces, ...) and religious (Cathedrals, churches)as well as remains from Roman times: the bridge over the River Tormes.
But Salamanca is not just old buildings _it is a vibrant, dynamic and young city, with a great amount of activity centred round student life and culture. You can get round easily on foot and enjoy the charms both of the Old Quarter and of Salamanca‘s famous nightlife: the city comes alive as the lights go on in bars, pubs, discos and ... out in the street.
Above all,, however, you can count on the friendliness of its people, with whom you can practice a truly "Castilian" Spanish.
In short, Salamanca has been declared a World Heritage City and was European Capital of Culture 2002, and is proud of it Main Square, one of the most famous in the world, and which has just celebrated its 250 Anniversary.
