Description of Paraninfo

Paraninfo is a school in Madrid specialized in teaching Spanish for Foreigners.

Thanks to its fine location, with easy access to public transport and for its vast knowledge and experience gained over 30 years, it has been a model in the formation of the language.

We are an “Accredited Centre” of the Cervantes Institute which is responsible in spreading the Spanish language worldwide.

The accreditation means that this school has passed quality control established by the said Institute. On completion of the course, students receive accredited diplomas. All students have free access to the Internet.

Paraninfo is supported by ARC (Consumer Protection Society).

The Spanish language course is taught by Spanish teachers with university degrees and there are a maximum of 8 students per group.

The entire programme, the teaching method and materials used in the classroom, is based on the fact that the teacher acts as an intermediary between the students and the Spanish language and culture. The Spanish language itself is both the instrument and the object to be learned. Bearing these in mind helps us to apply the adequate methodology and learning strategies.

Mode of courses:

Intensive (whole year round)

4 or 2 hours daily during 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months or 3 months

Super intensive

4 hours daily plus 1 hour daily Culture and Civilization plus 1 hour History

Quarterly

From October to December, January to march, April to June and July to September

Annually

From October to June, 1, 2 or 4 hours daily

Alternately

From October to June, 3, 4 or 6 hours weekly

SPECIFIC COURSES:

Seminars for professionals

1 week, 6 hours daily

2 weeks, 4 hours daily

Immersion: 6/8 hours daily

DELE Preparation

Courses 4 weeks prior to each exam

Business Spanish

8 weeks, 4 hours daily

Additional activities (for interested students)

-Day excursions to nearby cities: Ávila, Toledo, Salamanca, Segovia, etc.

-Visits to the old part of Madrid, including typical bars of tapas…
