When relaxation, sports and nature are your primary interests besides learning Spanish, then Sosua is the right place for you. The little town on the north coast of the Dominican Republic offers a broad variety of leisure activities, so does near-by Cabarete which is only 15 min away.
While Sosua mainly attracts scuba divers, Cabarete is known as one of the best areas in the world for wind- and kite surfing. At night, surfers, Dominicans and tourists mingle in one of the numerous bars and enjoy partying together while moonshine romantics stroll along lonely beaches. Sosua and Cabarete have indeed something to offer for everyone.
The IIC is located in "El Batey", the new and serene part of Sosua. The school building, sheltered by impressive old trees and lush vegetation, offers the ideal ambiance for concentrated learning in a tropical surrounding. The classrooms are equipped with audio visual teaching media.
The institute is within a stone‘s throw of the centre and in 5 min walking distance from the beach. Nevertheless, the ambiance is so tranquil that classes often take place on one of the 4 shadowed and airy terraces.
The school is also the place to meet the Dominican students of the CASA GOETHE who learn English and German in the same building.
