Castila (Granada)
Castila, Centro de Estudios Hispánicos, was born in 1988.
It is recognised by the Instituto Cervantes (accredited centre), University of Alcalá (CEELE), CSN, ELITE and Bildungsurlaub, apart from other international institutions and, of course, its students.
Castila offers general A (4 hours per day) and B (6 hours per day) language courses, as well as 1-2-1 tuition, specific courses (Business Spanish, Culture and Society, Spanish Literature and Formation of Spanish Teachers), preparation for DELE (specific or combined lessons, 98% success of our students) and group courses. Our own method combines grammar and practice; there is a maximum of six students per class, with internet access and library resources available.
Teachers rotate every hour; they have a university degree and specific training from Castila, in addition to other qualifications.
For the free time Castila has 47 extra-curricular activities designed for the students and programmed every two weeks. Some of them are free of charge, like the welcome drink, the Tuesday film or the Albaicin route; some others have a minimal cost, like the tapas tour (you pay for your consumption), the visit to the Alhambra or the Cathedral and the excursion to Sierra Nevada.
There are also excursions on the weekends, which gives the opportunity to know different places in Andalusia.
The Albaicin, the ancient Arab quarter of Granada (Heritage of Mankind by the UNESCO), shelters the school in one of its typical Cármenes. The labyrinthic layout of the streets and alleys hides small squares dressed with flowers, places of incomparable beauty (like Bill Clinton’s admired Mirador de San Nicolás) and bars with splendid tapas. Its surroundings (isolated from traffic, close to the Sacromonte and Downtown), its garden, its wonderful full view of the Alhambra, make the school a unique place to learn Spanish.
