Mexico - Mexico CityMexico City

Its history begins in the fourteenth century when the Aztecs founded a city at the place where they saw an eagle land on a cactus, eating a snake. From there began the makings of a grand city of temples and palaces that enchanted the conquering Spaniards. Eventually, Mexico City converted to become one the primer tourist destinations and largest cities in the world.

In the Plaza Mayor, or known as the “El Zócalo” there are still remains of the Grand Temple of the Aztecs, and nearby the colonial Cathedral gives a European feel. There are also various museums that display great collections of jewels that represent the rich cultural background of Mexico.
