San Antonio de Belén
San Antonio is a beautiful and prosperous town surrounded by mountains. This town offers to the visitors a quiet and welcoming environment, just in one of the most recognized area in Costa Rica, not to mention the scenic view of the mountains and the convenience of being located just a few minutes by bus from downtown San José, Heredia and Alajuela.
Because of the suitable location at the Central Valley, San Antonio has quick and comfortable access to the principal tourist destinations, and the most popular beaches in the Pacific coast.
The weather
The weather in San Antonio is very nice: a bit hot during the mornings and very fresh in the evenings; the temperature oscillate between 20º C and 25º C, all year around.
There is two season in Costa Rica: the dry season with very little rain is generally from November/December to May/April; during this season, the weather is sunny and fresh. The green or wet season lasts the rest of the year, generally it's raining during the afternoon, and the mornings usually are sunny.

Ojo de Agua
Ojo de Agua is a place with a group of swimming pools at San Antonio de Belén. This is one of the most visited places in Costa Rica because of its attractive and peculiar 'waterhole' through spring up more than 23000 liters of water coming from a subterranean river.
These pure and limpid waters supply and renew the swimming pools constantly, and this fact converts Ojo de Agua in a unique place in the country.

A wide range of places and activities
San Antonio offers to the visitors a wide range of places and activities to spend free time.
There are six movie theater at one of the two modern malls, also there are three swimming pools at reasonable prices. Gymnasiums, cyber coffees, bars and restaurants with musical groups playing, discotheques and coffee shops are available in San Antonio downtown.
In addition, San Antonio counts on an amphitheatre for national and international concerts of classical and popular artists; in there, take place the International Book Fair in Costa Rica. Theater is another option in San Antonio for cultural activity on weekend.

Cultural life in San Antonio include traditional celebrations and national and international festivities all year around, and so there are processions of masquerades, festive weeks with much music, food, and art on the streets. Sport events for the community are so common in San Antonio.

The lovers of the good cuisine can find a variety of restaurants, bars and cafeterias, with an ample selection of food, atmosphere and style. These are some of the places you can go to, right on the San Antonio downtown.
El Sesteo Bar
This is a typical food restaurant/bar, typical food specialized in 'tapas'. This place offers a casual ambience, live music and inexpensive prices. This the place people choose after work, to chare a moment of beer and of course, football.
El Rodeo restaurant
This is a Steak House, and also specialized in international cuisine. The ambience is very comfortable, at Texas style.
Inhiban
This is a restaurant of Japanese cuisine, with its own selection of plates and flavors. Prices are accessible and the ambience is elegant
Pan e Vino
An excellent place for Italian cuisine lovers, its combination of originally Italian dressings and spices make its food unique. Prices are economical.
El Dorado
This is a small and familiar restaurant specialized in sea food. Menu has excellent plates, and the prices are accessible. This is an ideal place for a lunch with friends.
Long horns
Texas style bar and grill. This is a meeting place for people drink, dance and sing with karaoke! Price is accesible.
