Climate, weather: 6ºC - 12ºC (49ºF - 58ºF) from October to April, 26ºC - 32ºC (81ºF - 93ºF) from May to September. Rain and sometimes an occasional snow in the winter and hot and dry in the summer.

Salamanca has a population of around 160.000 people and is a pleasant and safe place. Its local people have been used to welcoming foreigners for centuries, this makes it easier for foreign students to immerse themselves into the Spanish way of life. Salamanca received the prestigious title, together with Bruges, Belgium, of being the European Cultural Capital of the year 2002.

There is a lot of university dinning rooms in Salamanca but this one is in the city center close to the Plaza Mayor. You can also enjoy very beautiful views of the Pontificia University and the Clerecía church while you're eating.


THE CLOCK OF THE PLAZA MAYOR

The clock of the Plaza Mayor is obviously the most famous meeting point of Salamanca. It's the central point of the town and it's known by everybody. A lot of young and old people stay there throughout the day to have lunch, to have a walk, to have dinner or to out at night. It is a busy focal point of Salamanca and there are always people just relaxing or waiting under the clock.

Victor has, without any doubts, one of the best kitchens in Spain. The service is very well cared.
