A small town situated on the western slopes of the Sierra from which its name was taken and surrounded by a dramatic mountain range.

It contains interesting architectural remains from of Iberian, Roman and Arabian origin, mainly dating from the XIV to the XVII centuries.

Special architectural characteristics

The importance of these monuments, their special architectural characteristics and the natural beautiful setting, have made it possible for Cazorla to be declared a town of "Historic-Artistic interest" by the Spanish Ministry of Culture.

Hospitable city

Cazorla is a very hospitable city whose citizens continue having their typical customs of a small Andalucian city. In summer these customs are mixed with a tourist increase which every year is bigger.

This makes the city have a very interesting and an hospitable environment for the people from Cazorla as well as for the visitors.

As far as culture is concerned. Cazorla has made an effort to offer the best.

Each year important events take place such as: The International Cycle of Theatre, street theatre, cinema and The Blues International Festival which takes place in July.

As for sports, we have to point out The Table-tennis National Championship.

Feria of Cazorla

In September, the Great Feria of Cazorla is celebrated in which people can enjoy a great variety of typical traditions such as: carriages processions, regional dances, bullfights, sevillanas dancing and everything is accompanied with the local excellent gastronomy.

Cazorla also hasa wide variety of activities such as: multiadventure which takes place in the spectacular Natural Park.
