Aranda de Duero is the capital of the "Ribera del Duero".

It is a region well known for its gastronomy and fine red wines. It is located between Madrid (156 Km), Burgos (78 Km) and Valladolid (90 Km).

With its important industrial center Aranda still manages to maintain typical customs and traditions.

The Bodegas of Aranda de Duero

One of the most interesting things in Aranda de Duero is its "bodegas".

Underneath the surface of Aranda de Duero exist a network of tunnels known as "bodegas" (underground wine cellars). They were finished and built to store and produce wine, famous to Aranda, since the the Middle Ages.

There are actually more than 120 bodegas.
