Cuernavaca is currently known in a world-wide level as the " City of the Eternal Spring " due to its wonderful climate. Poets and musicians have dedicated songs and poems that glorify its beauty.

Location
With a population of approximately 700,000 permanent residents, Cuernavaca is one of the beautiful and historical centers of Mexico.
The elevation is 1,548 meters (about 5,000 feet) and it is geographically centered in Mexico making it very easy to reach other cities of cultural and recreational interest.
Mexico City and Taxco are nearby and can be reached in about one and a half hours. Puebla is two hours to the northwest and the beach resorts of Acapulco are four hours to the south.
Site Seeing
Cuernavaca is home to the famed Cortes Palace, the former Fortress and house of Spanish conqueror Hernan Cortes. Currently this museum encases murals painted by Diego Rivera, which depict the history of the State of Morelos. The beautiful Cathedral of the Assumption built in the 16th Century, the Borda Garden House built in 1763, and the former house of Austrian Emperor Maximiliano de Habsburgo exemplify the colonial style of the city. The Pyramids of Teopanzolco from the XIII Century add to the cultural character of the area and are part of many of the nearby archeological ruins.
