► Basic information on Spain

El Puerto de la Cruz is situated in northern coast of Tenerife in the Orotava valley on the foot of the Teide mountain and is one of the top and most complete holiday resorts of the Canary Islands.

The Old Town is very pretty in parts and it is one of the few resorts where the local people still work, and go out to dinner or to have drink.

The area around the old fishing port is full of narrow cobbled streets with houses in colonial architecture style.

In Loro Parque, with over 13 hectares, you can get in touch with the most exotic representatives of nature: penguins, dolphins, sealions, parrots, gorillas, chimpanzees, tigers, jaguars, sharks, coral reef, tropical fish, canarian fish, flamingos, alligators, tortoises, etc.
